The future of work (and humanity) depends on this

Hi! I'm Stella
According to Gallup, 77 percent of employees around the world are disengaged. This has been the trend since Gallup began measuring engagement in 2009. Feeling meh or miserable at work not only costs individuals their well-being and happiness but also costs the global economy $8.8 trillion. This equates to 9 percent of global GDP. Imagine what we could achieve if we felt more alive at work.
Unfortunately, we’re spending billions of dollars in employee development and it’s not helping. Of course we need to fund L&D to help employees do their jobs well and learn hard skills. And of course, it’s also important train on soft skills, the ability to relate to others – through communication, trust building, leadership, and cooperation. But that’s not enough.
Employees are still checking out, burning out, and leaving.
Something still must change. To break the trend of disengagement, we need a new capability. We have to learn how to relate to ourselves and manage from within. This is called inner skills.
Learning inner skills will release untapped potential in organizations. In my training program and book, The Work Happiness Method, I teach eight inner skills to help employees have agency and take responsibility over their experience. Examples of inner skills include: managing your mind and mood, knowing what want, practicing healthy boundaries, and navigating uncertainty.
Watch this video where I share a bit more about this.
Talk to me about how I can help your team feel more engaged, happy, and well at work. The good news is that it's not about luck - it's about skill.
