I've got to be honest. It's been a rough week. How's yours going?
My daughter had the flu. Thankfully, she's doing better. But boy was it stressful until we found out. Plus, it's been a struggle to manage my time while taking care of her. My husband and I are still figuring out how to do it.
I've found myself feeling frustrated and frazzled between phone calls, running the dishwasher for the 3rd time, picking up tissues off the floor, and feeling guilty about how many episodes of Dragons Rescue Riders my daughter was watching.

That's worked well for me generally, but it was missing something...
You're probably getting a ton of tips and advice on how to deal with the COVID 19. But processing all that information can be overwhelming.
There's only one thing I recommend you remember as you're adjusting to this experience: have some self-compassion.
When you're on the brink of beating yourself up for not having it all together, just remind yourself: "This is new. I'm learning how to do this. It will take me time but I am making progress each day on how to find more balance and peace in work and life."
Here's a new video of how I'm fumbling my way through self-compassion. I recorded this yesterday in a parking lot. I just needed to get out of the house!
