Trauma and Your Leadership Edge with Stella Grizont and Lisa Zigarmi
Hi! I'm Stella
I know you’re one who values growth. That’s why we’re here together. So trust me - you’ll want to listen to this episode of the What’s Possible podcast. It’s called: Trauma and Your Leadership Edge with Stella Grizont and Lisa Zigarmi.
In this podcast, Ilene Schaffer, Lisa Zigarmi and I investigated an often overlooked aspect of leadership development: the role of trauma. We discussed its transformative potential in professional growth. We explored how personal histories and traumatic experiences can serve as profound tools for developing authentic and resilient leadership. We also acknowledged how unresolved trauma can not only leave a leader stunted, but also affect their team.
Listen to learn practical strategies to harness your past to lead with greater authenticity and impact.
This podcast took an unexpected turn when Ilene asked Lisa and I about our friendship and how it all began. Lisa Zigarmi is one of my best friends - she’s also a brilliant coach, organizational psychologist, and writer. I cried when I shared the story of how Lisa showed up for me when I canceled a wedding (not to my now husband).
Lisa, Ilene, and I debated whether to keep that part of the podcast in. But honestly - I love it. Because ultimately, working through trauma requires togetherness. Trauma isn’t the result of going through hard experiences. It’s the result of feeling alone while enduring them. So why not hear the origin story of one of my greatest friendships.
I’m curious how this podcast lands with you. If this conversation resonates, please let me know. Lisa and I are exploring what else we can do to support leaders in truly magnifying their power by going within.
