How you can capture the joy of watching the Olympics in your daily life: ‘There is celebration everywhere’
Hi! I'm Stella
The Olympics are over but we still can keep the torch lit within ourselves. I was recently interviewed by CNBC Make It along with other psychology experts to reflect on how we can continue to feel the joy once the games end. Here are a few of those insights:
1. Seek out togetherness. It's vital to the human spirit and the “key to happiness is connection,” says Sonja Lyubomirsky, a professor of psychology at UC Riverside who specializes in human happiness.
2. Revel in the greatness around you now. Jonathan Haidt coined the term "elevation" to describe the warm feeling in our chests when we witness greatness. You see greatness all time - whether it's a kind gesture made by a child or a moment when hard work pays off. Take it in.
3. Celebrate progress. You don't have to win a gold medal to feel worthy of celebration, pay attention to your progress towards any goal and celebrate your small wins and good choices along the way. Here's the full article. Thanks to Jade Alexandria Thomas with CNBC Make It for the great insight.
